Supporting people with learning disabilities to challenge discrimination and access their rights
Supporting people with learning disabilities to take control of their own lives and to make their own choices
People with learning disabilities can feel lonely and isolated, we work to change this
We provide individual advocacy support and drop-in sessions helping people with learning disabilities with a wide range of issues. We run a number of advocacy groups led by people with learning disabilities and work with local businesses to provide good support to people with learning disabilities.
We support people with the personal issues that affect them.
We support people to influence changes in the community that will benefit everyone with a learning disability.
We support people to be resilient in order that they can take part in and contribute to community life.
We give a voice to some of the most marginalised members of the community, enabling them to express their needs, deal with problems & access essential services.
We will make sure that people with learning disabilities in Brighton & Hove have the support they need to speak up & address problems they are facing.
We will support people to make links in their community in order to develop networks, skills, confidence and reduce isolation and have richer lives.
