  • Mission

Our principal mission is to raise money to provide care and education for very poor, sick and disadvantaged children in Bogota and the Colombian Amazon, South America. We keep overheads to a bare minimum with no salaries, offices or expenses so all donations go to help the children.
  • Brief history

Children of Colombia was set up in 2002 by Rachel Leighton and a group of women in the Cotswolds, UK. It still adheres to the core principals of minimum overheads and personal contact with the charity groups on the ground and is now run by a team of volunteers who have all lived in Colombia.
