  • Mission

Mousetrap Theatre Projects takes disadvantaged and disabled children and young people to see London’s top theatre, with visits enhanced by a range of theatre education projects in schools and communities, teaching new skills and using drama to raise self-esteem, confidence and aspirations.
  • Brief history

MTP was founded in 1997 by Sir Stephen Waley-Cohen, after he purchased the production rights to the world’s longest running play, Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap. With seed funding from the play he set up the charity to take young people see theatre who might not otherwise have the opportunity.
