To address the lack of legacy for one of the UK's most amazing Victorian residences by educating the public in matters linked to the former Sand House.
To tackle the disconnect between current residents and their local heritage by providing a sense of place based around the former Sand House.
One project is a specially written play bringing the story of the Sand House to a new audience. Also, workshops with local groups, each led by a member of the play's creative team, help share the story through a range of activities. Guided walks, talks and pop-up sand art sessions engage the public.
We seek donations to fund a remount of the play & wraparound activities in 2020

How we succeed
We bring a unique part of UK heritage to the attention of the public, through the wide range activities that we undertake, including the Sand House stage play.
We provide local residents with a sense of place, linking them to a fascinating part of their locality's history and increasing their pride in their hometown.
We increase the sense of pride in what would otherwise be an unremarkable locality, through linking people to the Victorian marvel that once stood there.
To advance the education of the public in history, art, sculpture and other related subjects having a link to the former Victorian Sand House of Doncaster.
